Why this garden exists
Every cat deserves to be remembered.
Mao Zhi Ming is a small independent project built around a simple idea: the love we have for a cat deserves a place that does not disappear into a feed.
A quiet corner of the internet
The garden is not meant to measure grief or turn remembrance into a competition. It is a shared space where names, photographs, and a few words can remain together. Some cats are remembered after a long life, some are still missing, and some are happily beside us now.
Made for people who love cats
Mao Zhi Ming is currently an early-stage project. The memorial garden is free to use, sample memorials are clearly labeled, and visitors can leave small symbolic keepsakes without payment. Feedback from cat owners helps shape what the garden becomes next.
What the name means
“Mao Zhi Ming” is a romanized form of 猫志铭: words for cats we want to remember. The English experience uses the full name as a distinctive title while describing the product plainly as an online cat memorial garden.
